Im a therapist whos worked with the hypervolt, and can say that this massage gun essentially does the same thing as it at a fraction of the price. It has 5 settings compared to the hypervolts 3, and even though I havent used it enough to drain the battery, it should last longer based on its battery size. In terms of how loud it is, its pretty much on par with that of a hypervolt at its maximum setting - maybe even a little quieter. Overall, I wouldnt hesistate to buy this as a cheaper alternative. The case could be a little more snug - the parts do move around a little and the heads may dislodge. If it had a piece of foam on the top, or if you DIY one it would be perfect to keep things from moving. Also note this does not have a physical on/off switch like a hypervolt has - its a button you hold down. The battery is also non-removable. Build quality is pretty good. The only thing now is I hope that it holds up over time! Will update in the future if there is any change in the gun!
